While your dog is enjoying a fun filled day of socialization, exercise and play, our staff will reinforce basic manners with repetition and lots of positive reinforcement. The more often your pet participates in our play and learn program, the further advanced they will become.

How to begin Dog Daycare

Evaluation

To ensure the enjoyment and safety of all pets in daycare an evaluation is given to assess your dog's social skills in a group setting. The evaluation is conducted on your pets first visit and is the first step to ensure your pet will have the most fun, social experience every time you bring him back to The Ruff House. Once your pet has passed their evaluation and been approved for dog daycare, you can feel absolutely confident scheduling your pet to attend daycare on a regular basis. Reservations

Reservations are required to guarantee a spot for your pup in his favorite playgroup with all his best friends. Individual or standing daily reservations can be made in advance in person, via phone or right here through our website. We do not encourage walk in's or same day reservations as they may not be available.

Frequently Asked Dog Daycare Questions

What is required to participate in daycare?

All dogs must be spayed or neutered, at least 3 months old, current on all vaccines (Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella), on a veterinarian approved flea and tick preventative and pass a daycare evaluation. Owner enrollment forms can be completed online here!

Do I need reservations?

Yes. For reservations at The Ruff House you can call us at (920) 720-2772 or use our online reservation form.

What is your cancellation policy for reservations?

Although cancellations for daycare reservations do not incur a fee, as a courtesy we request 24 hour notice.

Can I add more activities to my pet’s daycare?

Absolutely! We have a large selection of playtime services and activities to make your pet’s day comfortable and fun!

Can I add a grooming to my pet’s daycare reservation?

Of course! The Ruff House offers a Spa Day in which guests enjoy half the day in our Daycare program and half the day in our grooming salon. Our receptionists will be happy to book your Spa Day reservation and go over the type of grooming you would like for your pet!

Is there someone with the dogs at all times?

Yes. During Daycare play hours, your pet is never left alone. The Daycare counselors constantly monitor behavior so that each dog is comfortable and having fun!

How are small dogs protected?

At The Ruff House, we have multiple separate daycare groups allowing guests to play with other dogs of similar play style and size. For the happiness and safety of all guest smaller dogs are never with large dogs.

What behaviors make a dog incompatible for Dog Daycare?

For the safety of all guests and our staff, certain behaviors are not acceptable in a daycare environment. Dog’s expressing aggressive behavior toward people or other dogs, extreme fear or shyness, fence climbing and repeated acts of domination will not be allowed in daycare. If such behaviors are displayed our staff will contact you to discuss whether or not daycare is the best option for your pet.

What is done in case of veterinary emergency?

In non-emergency situations (e.g., small scratches, diarrhea, or loss of appetite), The Ruff House will contact the owner or owner’s designee to discuss recommended protocol. For emergencies in which urgent care or evaluation appears needed, we will transport the pet to the appropriate animal clinic immediately and then contact the owner.

Can I have a tour of the resort?

Yes! We love to show off our pet resort. You are more than welcome to tour anytime during our business hours. Our welcoming staff will be delighted to take you on an informative tour of the public areas at The Ruff House.
