Yes, reservations are required. A reservation made well in advance will secure your pet’s lodging suite, which is important during our busy weekends and holidays. You can call our Reservation Specialist at (920)720-2775 or use our online reservation system to request a reservation.

Yes. Due to high demand we require a full deposit for reservations made during peak periods. Your deposit is processed at the time your reservation is made, and it is applied to your balance upon check-out. You will not have a confirmed reservation until your deposit is received.

An additional $4 fee is assessed per pet per day for holiday and peak time reservations. For a current schedule of holiday and peak times please contact a reservation specialist.

As the leading pet care provider in our area, The Ruff House often has limited availability, especially during busy travel and holiday seasons. We encourage you to speak with one of our reservation specialists as soon as possible for any reservation changes or cancellations as we have a firm cancellation policy.

Notification of a cancellation for holiday/peak time reservations must be provided seven days prior to check-in and 48 hours prior to check-in for non-peak time reservations or cancellations fees will apply. The cancellation policy will still apply if any required vaccinations are out of date and affect the requested reservation.

Guests departing earlier than their original departure date during holiday/peak times without proper notice will be charged in full for the original reservation.

Pets may check in any time during normal business hours. Overnight charges begin the day of drop off regardless of what time the pet is dropped off. Check out is BEFORE 12:00 pm on the date of departure. It is strictly enforced that pets not picked up by 12:00 pm will be charged additional fees.

No need to bring personal items when packing for your dog’s stay! The Ruff House provides all our guests comfortable bedding, toys during play times and lots of love and attention.

The safety of our guests is our first priority; therefore, we require that all pets staying with us be current on Rabies, DHLP and Bordetella vaccines after the initial series of puppy vaccinations
Please consult with your Veterinarian to ensure that your pet is current on each vaccine before their stay. Your veterinarian can either give you copies of your pet’s records to bring at check-in or they can be faxed directly to us prior to lodging. Hand-written records or owner-administered vaccinations will not be accepted.

For the health of all pets in our care there is a strict four (4) day waiting period prior to entering Ruff House facilities after vaccinations are administered.
*Bordetella vaccine: Bordatella protects against most strains of Canine Cough and The Ruff House does everything possible to reduce the risk of your pet getting Canine Cough. However, the vaccine does not prevent against all strains, and just like the human cold, there is always a risk when in an environment with many dogs.

Yes, we are glad to give your pet any food that you bring for them. We have microwave ovens, refrigerators, and freezers to accommodate special dietary needs. Please pack food from home in pre-measured in individual servicing size bags. A charge of $0.50 per administration will be added to your pets stay for food that is not pre-measured upon arrival.

As a busy pet parent you may prefer to skip meal preparation for your pet and for an additional fee have our Canine Nutritionist select a well-balanced diet for them to enjoy while at The Ruff House.

We are happy to dispense oral and topical medications for only $1.50 per day. Please bring medications in their original packaging and we will administer as directed. At this time we are not able to give any injections or intravenous medications.

We have successfully cared for blind and deaf dogs in the past. A complimentary “meet and greet” visit may be required prior to your pet’s stay with us.

Yes, our Standard Nightly Rate is discounted 15% for each additional guest from the same home sharing a suite. Discounts do not apply to late check outs, activities or holiday fees.

Yes! We love to show off our pet resort. You are more than welcome to tour anytime during our business hours. Our welcoming staff will be delighted to take you on an informative tour of the public areas at The Ruff House. Once you have seen The Ruff House difference we are confident that you will not want to lodge your pet anywhere else!

In non-emergency situations (e.g., small scratches, diarrhea, or loss of appetite), The Ruff House will contact the owner or owner’s designee to discuss recommended protocol. For emergencies in which urgent care or evaluation appears needed, we will transport the pet to the appropriate animal clinic immediately and then contact the owner.
